ButaVX sports a unique pencil-pixel art black and white art style. While it looks like a GBA game, it still looks really great in motion. Despite the color restriction, you can easily tell what everything is.
ButaVX sounds like a game from the Game Boy or Game Boy Advance. Every sound and piece of music makes it feel like a much older game, and everything in the sound department sounds nice. However, there's nothing exactly memorable about it either.
This is a rather short RPG. It's nice for what it is, and it lets you interact with several characters and search a neat little village and its outskirts. Battles are conducted in first person with some unique battle options. Still, the game is extremely short.
